Hi, my new D3 S can't seem to find my phone via bluetooth. It's a Nokia N70 and it finds the car OK.
There doesn't seem to be a cradle available for this phone yet so I need the bluetooth to work to stay legal.
Any thoughts
Alan. If you wait for it to go wrong - it's bound to oblige

Check with the dealer that you have the latest PTI sw installed. There was an update recently... may have been missed on yours.
BTW the SE K800i works fine in the loaners that Shukers have (D3 S and RRS HSE). Maybe worth a call to LRCS to see if they have a list of supported phones too.

Also have you paired the two units using the pairing code 2121 on the keypad on the front of the hifi panel 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Didn't use the keypad. The salesman, who seemed a bit rusty, reckoned all I had to do was pair on the phone.
Obviously this a case of RTFM If you wait for it to go wrong - it's bound to oblige

DG, the pairing code is entered on the phone, not the IHU keypad

Hmmm not like me to get things about face I knew there was some pairing interaction between the two and it wasn't mentioned earlier in the thread 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Right, I've just tested this....
I knew I wasn't going bonkers...
-Make your phone discoverable.
-goto the D3 switch the ignition on - turn the radio off
-press the D3 telephone on\off button once on the fascia
-type 2121 into the D3's IHU keypad
-your phone should then say Landrover wants to make a connection (or words to that effect) Do you want to? click yes
-then your phone will ask for a pairing key - type 2121
-click done on your phone
...and away you go !

works the other way too... the D3/RRS is discoverable so you just find it and pair using the phone.

I'd be very surprised if the Nokia N70 didn't work. I have a new Nokia E61 and they all have the same operating system (Symbian 60) with the same bluetooth functionality. If it doesn't work, I'd agree it's more likely to be a Discovery PTI problem. Discovery 'S' Auto Lugano Teal plus PTI

Stand down everyone
A combination of tenacity and wilful disrespect made it work, and it's pretty good too.
Don't know what the situation is re. voice commands for stuff other than the phone, but maybe you need the navigation gear first If you wait for it to go wrong - it's bound to oblige
