| Poss Diff replacement....am I covered ? |

Taking my 05 SE up to my trusty LR specialist in Edinburgh due to aforementioned,and apparently commonplace fault, whining from(I assume) diff.
Spoke to him today and he says basically it would have to explode before any warranty provider would even consider replacing at their expense.......just wondered if anybody has any anecdotal evidence to the contrary or do I just shut my eyes and pray its just the diff oil ?
My warranty (from Momentum) says all mechanical breakdown is covered,but,NOT if as a result of wear and tear.
As LR apparently were replacing diffs due to a known fault do I have a glimmer of hope ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
