Just wanted to post a quick thread regarding Park Brake adjustment.
To successfully adjust the rear brakes the vehicle must be forced into " mount mode " Please do not confuse this with service mode or bedding in mode. Unless you have SDD or the new dongle you will not be able to set the vehicle into mount mode so adjustment shouldnt be attempted.
If anyone has subscribed to Topix the information can be found there.

mmmmm....... Actually I dis-agree with this statement...
Whilst the instructions in Topix do say it needs to go into Mount mode and technically of course the LR documentation is the only officially agreed process........, there is so little tension (if any) that is on the EPB shoes when you put it into service mode that it only makes a difference if you are changing the actuator. To do the EPB adjustment, it doesn't need to be in mount mode....
Just my opinion of course...... Bodsys Brake Bible

If you find something that works then fine...i cant disagree. You are of course correct in your statement where it doesnt need to be in mount mode to adjust...however that wasnt my advise...i used the word successfully!
My stance stays the same on this, the fact that no-one hasnt had a problem is irrelivent. Adjustment should be done in mount mode. I have seen too many cooked discs to know that to do anything else is wrong.
Land Rover have invested alot of time and money on this one issue...procedures and tooling will be changing.

Yup, I know about the updated procedure, feedback from techs has reduced the time marginally.
New LR products (thankfully) will use a different system. And shortly after each of the vehicles are launched, there'll be an aftermarket gizmo to do the same as the full system. Bodsys Brake Bible
