Was just checking youtube for anything to do with the Skipton Experience Centre, as I just booked my date , Can't wait
Anyway , in this video

The guy has a mobile camera that hooks into the Camera System , does anyone know if this is a LR product ? is it available for the D4 ?
Thanks

Thanks Wiggs ,
Did a quick google on those names and there is a little info out there , It also appears to come with an attachment to stick it to stuff , which is even better . It would be just the job for putting on the off side rear of my Caravan when returning it to storage as it has to pass within a few inches of another van blind as it is turning.
Hopefully someone has some further info , but thanks for that
Barry

Does the 2012MY not have a usb input for video - if it can play MP4 (or whatever) files from usb, would that also be interfaceable with a camera with some form of usb output?

Russell - is the 3rd usb port part of the RSE system or standard? (can't find any mention of it on the LR website/spec sheets)

Seems that the D4 system will play video... but not in eg AVI format - BUT it will play if you use the www.divx.com/vod site (it was mentioned with a code on the D4 screen when attempting to access avi files) to get their convertor which converts file to DIVX format! - then the file is accessible under the TV/My Video button on the Audio screen, and plays in the same way as music plays under the My Music section!
Not sure if it needs the TV or RSE systems installed - that was tried with a car that has TV only; and it will need someone more video technically minded to work out which outputs (if any) other than DIVX are supported on the system so as to be able to output from a portable cam...

I am using the software in evaluation mode to convert the video files, but that's because the LR code did not work!! - it appeared as part of an error message on screen giving the web address & the code when I'd tried playing a standard MS video file The files have to be in the root directory of the usb - I'll recheck but think it is a folder "videos".
