I had probs pairing my HTC (albeit with my D3) I treid software updates (both car and phone) to no avail, where my swmbo's Samsung would work perfectly.

All LR could offer was to say it was 'my phone' Shocked

A mate suggested I unpaired completely, and then started from scratch, but when it asks to sync phonebook, to decline Rolling Eyes

Strangley it now works pefectly, conencts evertime without any input from me, and the phone book is 100% available on the 'in car' displays - wierd Whistle
Never get mad - get even !!

06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k

previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

I got my HTC Desire HD to pair. It is a tricky phone to pair for some reason. I had problems pairing it with my Mini's as well.

Your friend was correct! I don't own an LR4 (yet) but have owned several BMW's and MB's with bluetooth. Some of the cars won't pair if your phone cannot send the phonebook in the expected format via bluetooth. If you eliminate the phonebook sync it usually connects and works no proble(with the exception of phonebook)
