| How easy to remove sidesteps when I off road? |

Morning all!
After previous experiences and being on my 5th sidestep i'm thinking I should remove them this time before a couple of jaunts, however don't want to be without them altogether.
When ie replaced in the past I've left the brackets attached to the car and just removed the step. How easy is it to remove the brackets and am i going to be in stud shear hell?
Any advice gratefully received. Just type like your telling a 5 yr old and i SHOULD grasp it!

fairly easy to remove, but not really practical as its not really a 5 minute job! If you off road a lot you may be better off with rock sliders, a much sturdier option! RLD on here does as does someone else on the other side 
I have them from the "other side" and i'm pretty pleased with em

Get some of huncle rays tree sliders andthey can stay fixed, a def enhancement, RLD isnt that far from you.

i'm lost by your post mate, i have tree sliders and they are permanently fixed, i have no issue with them!
I was advising the OP that they are better and stronger than OEM.

The bolts holding on the brackets should remove easily. If you are not fitting anything back on then it would not matter if one sheared as your new sill cover would hide it. TLO will get you new sill covers, but I don't know if they are available in ALL colours.
Have a look in the Wiki (link is just below BIG site name at top of screen) and you will find the accessory fitting instructions. This will show you what is involved in taking them off again.
