I had to buy some parts recently and tried to get a discount by mentioning the ‘loyalty discount’. The dealer looked puzzled and eventually said that this was an old scheme and no longer applied
I was able to get some discount but I am curious if others are able to get this still and my local dealer was just trying it on.

Called the Allegence discount for parts on cars over 3 years old. Sounds like discounts vary from dealer to dealer from 5 to 15% going by other threads and it is certainly not just offered in my experience, never knew about it when buying parts for our old D2 but could never squeeze any discount.

Shields in glasgow certainly apply it, but i believe it is just for when your car is in for service, not if you just want parts, going by their rules anyway. I know somepeople on here have had bad experiences with them, but they have always looked after me, although most stuff they pick up (brakes, bushes etc) I tend to do myself, we do have TLO for parts discounts after all.
For reference I am booked in for a 90K service which is £407 and I also asked for 105K service costs and they say £670, both including VAT and I did specifically ask about all the belts. After looking at some other prices on here then these seem to be fairly competitive for a main dealer ...... unless of course you know different. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I do the servicing / repair myself when possible and have used TLO for parts when I have the luxury of time. Unfortunately my most recent disasters were a bit of a panic. The first happened two days before Christmas and the second one day before the MOT.
I had seen various reports about this Allegiance discount on the forum but wasn’t sure if it was a Landrover thing that you would get or just something that various dealers offered to attract trade. When I asked about this at my local dealer (Charles Hurst Belfast) the response was, as I said, that they didn’t know what I was talking about but then changed it to ‘that scheme no longer existed’.

Its starting to sound like this is a discount for allegiance to the dealer and not necessarily to the brand.

It's not what you know but who you know.
Get to know the guys at your local dealer. general chit chat, have a laugh with them, a little mickey taking, be cheeky. The phrase HOW MUCH springs to mind and the tin of Roses at Christmas always helps.
A little given, a lot gained. This friendly approach gets me 20 to 25% off and at times free mugs, pens and cuddly toy for kids on top.
P.S. I know some can be hard work, but just do something unexpected and you'll have them eating out off your hand.

Alliegence is an old buzz word that used to be around most LR dealers years ago
LR promoted a "club" where ownership criteria was a 3 year or older vehile would entitle registered members to a discount off parts and labour and maybe the odd promotion on say free MOT with a major service etc
died a death as all these programs do as dealers became busy and decided it was just giving money away to the normal customers who would have visited your dealer anyway and did not keep lapsing customers or generate new customers back in with older cars
some dealers may still have an alliegence type program still running in some form but most dwindled and closed
Well, that was then
LR are currently working on a new form of alliegence program for dealers to offer and instead of 3+ years cars they have done their homework and will be including vehicles from new as analysis shows that not all you lot get your car serviced within the dealer network straight out the box as it were
new format will be like a smart/loyalty card where card readers within dealers will recognise your visit and update your own personal website which will have random offers and programs depending i suppose on frequency of visits and spend amounts
All this is still very much in the design/draft stage AND NOT ALL DEALERS WILL SIGN UP I'M SURE so don't FFS go hassling your dealer as blank looks will be the order of the day but when i hear more i'll mention it here TLO has left the building.......

I have just been offered a main dealer three service deal (90k, 105k & 120k) for £1600 (inc VAT and a 15% loyalty discount) with an interest-free option of paying £52 per month for 30 months. I had thought this a tad steep but after reading these comments it seems pretty reasonable especially as,If I agree, the deal is implemented via the issue of service vouchers which are transferable should I sell the vehicle - has anyone else tried this method?
