Now the D3 has just turned 60k, and there a few niggly problems starting to annoy me a little.
The front suspension was clunking, the steering was vague and pulling left. The headlamps were sticking on main beam again, the rear parking sensors were u/s in the wet, and the drivers seat was creaking and rocking back and forth under acceleration/deceleration.
I was going to save all the jobs until the next service, but the rapidly increasing knocking from the front, and the increasing tendency to pull left prompted me to book it in.
It turns out that the front right hand wheel bearing was completely shot. I had not noticed any noise, but was told it had got considerable play in it. New rear parking sensors have been fitted after several previous attempts to repair. A new seat frame is on order, because they have previously tried to adjust the free movement, but it has come back again.
Headlamps - nothing was done as they could not reproduce. It is very hard to reproduce this sticking shutter to order, so I said I would film on my phone the next time I have to get out and thump the car to stop dazzling other drivers I would have been happier if they had just swapped them out, as it is a known problem, and they really should take my word for it.
Anyway, apart from the headlamps, everything is good. The car was clean, and I am always made to feel welcome. Going back when the new seat frame arrives. In the meantime I will be doing lots of flashing, with my mobile phone at the ready

Gareth - was this under LR warranty?
Fined Guy Salmon in Stockport good for warranty but way to expensive for paid for work.
Like you I had an intermittent fault that they weren't too willing to sort without replication - maybe it's the management there penny pinching??
They certainly beat Stratstone's in Bury for customer service!!

It's a pity their sales staff aren't as enthusiastic. I went to buy and recivied nothing but promises. Left the showroom and didn't get any phone calls.
Stratsone Bury on the other hand were fantastic. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8851994@N05/sets/

Now I think about it.... prior to going for repairs I have popped in on the way past a couple of times, and looked around the forecourt and been totally ignored......OK so I as in jeans and a t-shirt, but surely sales staff know to not judge a book by it's cover, and even if they did I parked up in a D3!!!
