Help - Bumper Mount Kit for LR Spot Lamps
Just bought a bumper mount kit for the Land Rover front spots on fleabay for £12.55 - quite a bargain, but....
There are no templates for the chassis drill holes or the bumper cut-outs. Has anybody got their old templates they don't need, or a photocopy (preferably to scale! ) they could let me have? Happy to pay for postage/photo copier etc.

I have also just bought the front driving lights, that are bumper mounted. There isn't a template as near as I can tell. There is one for the interior dash, and there is one for the plastic A bar thingie, but not for the bumper itself..unless I am also missing that component.

In the UK the lights and the bumper mountings are sold seperately. The templates come with the bumper mounting kit - there's one to align the drill holes for the mounting posts, and one for cutting out a section on the rear of the bumper.Disco 5 HSE Lux

Stuart, you might have already seen the link below but first I suggest you contact your dealer and see if they have the templates still after they fitted someone else's.
Driving Lamps - Bumper and search for the VUU500110 PDF. It shows the templates that you need to look for. Maybe print out that part of the PDF and take it to the friendly dealer.

A good idea. I've got the pdf, that's how I found out about the templates.

Tried my dealer today, but no luck. They've thrown all their used ones away. They even opened up a new pack to see if they could photo-copy them, but they're too long.

I think I'll ask them to when I go back next week. Main problem is the template isn't loose, its in a 'push-out' cardboard frame, so you cant get to the edges. Mind you, if I take some thin paper, I should be able to trace them. They're quite large.....Disco 5 HSE Lux

I wouldn't worry overlymuch about obtaining the bumper templates. They are off a few mm's anyway. You would be better off chosing your own spacing, and making measurements the old fashion way (with a tape).

Thought they'd be quite tricky to work out, as you need to mount a post on the front cross-member to align with a hole you cut in the bumper which in turn has to be the right distance from the grill.....
The instructions give a distance of 22mm from edge of cross member to c/l of post holes, so that helps a bit. Side to side is not too important, as long as its equal (should be able to manage that ). Bit worried about drilling the 53mm holes in the bumper to align with the post. Is there any room to play with here?Disco 5 HSE Lux
