| I picked it up this morning |

D4 XS in Stornoway Grey.
Bit of trauma at first - the valeter had damaged the trim on the drivers side rear door but full marks to Hillendale, Nelson. They took the trim from another car and changed it for me.
A big heads up to Richard Coldwell the sales guy who looked after me - great service as always and they even arranged some snow for me!
First impressions? The engine is much much better than my D3 and the whole car feels better to drive.
Disapointed that there are no front parking sensors or electric front seats. Most of all so far I'm missing the arm rests on the D3.
On the whole? Permagrin restored! 2013 D4 HSE Luxe in Indus Silver

The XS does have front parking sensors. One of the dealers I spoke to before I bought mine tried to tell me otherwise also.
If you doubt me, check the front bumper and read on
Both front and rear sensors come on when you go into reverse and then only switch off after travelling forward above a certain speed (or time?), so if you are shunting backwards and forwards, after initially engaging reverse then the front sensors are active throughout the parking maneouvre.
You can also switch both front and rear sensors on by pressing the "P>>" button on the dash, so if you are parking forward first, without needing to engage reverse initially, then you will need to manually switch the sensors on with this button.
By the way, welcome to D4 ownership. Mine is also the D4 XS in Stornoway, I cant compare it with a D3 but I am very impressed by it, inapite of a few problems so far.

Concerning front radar, in France, the D4 HSE MY 2011 that I
Got in october has not this equipment !
It seems there are no more front radar on the D4 In 2011...
In spite of what is still written In the docs ...
All the D4 I saw at the dealer a few days ago, even in the highest HSE,
have NO front radar !
( By chance I had taken the surround cameras option and it helps ... ) Disco 4 SDV6 HSE nara bronze

My D4 XS 2011MY UK supplied one definitely has the front sensors, I am pretty sure the manual even refers to them, not that the manual can be guaranteed to be correct of course.

be a choice from the french importer
to have cancelled them !!

i just add that my manual also refers to the sensors, but ... they are not
installed in the front !!
I was surprised of that on taking delivery of the car, just like
my dealer who had not been informed of that change ... Disco 4 SDV6 HSE nara bronze
