Pirelli ATR'S
Hello all just a quick question on Pirelli ATR'S. Do you notice any dip in mpg on these tyres over normal scorpions.
Thanks
Eddie

Weird one that, now doing motorway mileage on mine and it seems to be 10% thirstier compared to 17" Contis. That's on top of the traditional 10% drop due to winter being here. Worth it though.
I've not noticed any difference yet ...Rob aka gringle

Unless it's something else is causing it. Was gonna put on the Contis for a 300 mile trip coming up but in this weather maybe not!

Could this be down to going from 235s to 255s and the increase in unsprung weight?'05 D3 HSE, Logic 7, fridge, 4x4info, and more to come!

Could well be but thought it might be but could be more to do with the cold. Did 150 miles on Wednesday at 75mph most of the way and looked like 22 - 23 mpg, temp 0 - 3c, came back at 60mph and looked at 29mpg, temp 5 - 8c. On Contis in "normal" temps get 27 and 31 at those speeds. Doesn't matter as they are still excellent tyres and have been great in the white stuff and ice.

No noticeable difference in noise or mpg in comparison to Pirelli Scorpions. They last approx, twice as many miles and really are superb in all conditions. That's probably why they've won so many awards.
They're not a winter tyre so braking distances will be increased in comparison, but my ATR's are coping very well in the current mix of ice, snow and slush.
