Maybe a bit far if you want something local but there is Greenbank 4x4 in Tullos and Mann Automotive in Laurencekirk. They are all ex-Town & County and they use genuine LR parts.
I even had my FFRR there (Mann Automotive) for it's first (15k) service with the blessing of the supplying LR dealer.
IIRC, the two you have mentioned are generic 4x4 garages rather than LR specialists. If they have not done much with a D3 then you may be chancing a bit more than your arm. You pays your money........ The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Frank Ogg of Elgin get my vote, they have been outstanding and have had both D3s serviced & fixed their for the last 2 years. Cars almost know their way there on their own. Well they are west of Aberdeen!

I find that all the ones East of Aberdeen should be avoided
Kirkstyle are very good and have a few years experience now on out of warranty D3s, they're always very busy and will be cheaper than Frank Ogg who are also very, very good. Don't know about Greenbank but they have a good rep, Mann Auto did my D2 remap and were excellent too.

I have got my D3 booked into Mann Automotive for a 60K service on Wednesday, so fingers crossed everything will be ok.
Spent a lot of time searching and reading feedback on various garages, so hopefully I have made the right choice!
