replacing rear light bulb |

did any of you change the bulb of the rear light on the disco3?

quite straight forward really.
open the upper and lower tailgate.
on the edge of the light cluster are two screws - undo these and then pull the lights towardss you. they are seated in a couple of lugs so needs a good pull.
you can then disconnect the electrical block for easier access and unscrew the plastic housing that the bulbs are sited in. replace buld and refit Duncan

give us a better clue as to which bulb then as they are easy to change 4 screws hold the back light in once off the bulbs are there to change number plate bulb is under the plastic cover quick look comes off easy also always up to somert usualy no good acording to swmbo

its the left brake light that must be replaced - have actually seen quite a number of D3s with either one of the brake lights not working. 2nd time since I have the vehicle that it needs replacement - 1st time LR dealer replaced it

In the course of as many weeks I've had three bulbs fail - offside dipped headlight, one rear numberplate light, and offside brake light.
Only noticed the brakelight had gone as was towing a trailer at night and noticed the red glow being reflected wasn't equal. It's a pity the D3 doesnt have bulb failure warning, but then again I dont need any more bongs.
Like the 'transmission fault' we had this morning...
