Well done mate I've got rid of mine a couple of weeks ago and running around in a D3 commercial for a while. How's life treating you out there? I can resist everything except TEMPTATION

Sonic,
Not too bad, although the job is far too busy for my relaxed attitude.
Makes sense to change really, especially as the clutch was on the way out for a third time in the Defender.
Not getting much grief from the Defender2 lads though!!!!!!!

(for both Charlotte and the D4...) The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Good choice Ian After placing an order in March took delivery of a D4 commercial in XS trim last Friday. Although it turned out to be the wrong engine spec from what i ordered its still a cracking vehicle. The dealers have re-ordered my car with a delivery date of Febraury in the mean time I'll smoke round in this one for free Before you order any extras drop Pete Bell an email, he can do most things like park heater for less than half the price a dealer would charge.
BTW glad to here the tax payer is getting his pound of flesh Club Exped trailer
Club Timed Climate
Club Flappy paddle steering wheel
Club 300bhp
Club Prospeed test pilot/lab rat
Club National Luna Stella conditioner

Sonic,
Won't be at any shows next year as i'll be at the hot, sandy two way range for the entire summer period.
Ent,
Very unlike Land Rover to mess up Probably best you start of with the less powerful though, it suits your driving style of 'go hard or go home
I don't plan on changing it in any way as the plan is to swap it for a new one after 12 months, hopefully if demand is still high it'll cost nothing to swap and I might even make some money. The joys of tax free and a pretty hefty discount.
The only thing I need to do is scope swapping my Howling Moon for a Magginolia profiled rooftent that will sit on the normal roof bars rather than go down the lines of a roofrack. No idea how much the Magginolia will be?

So Ian....does that mean you might be offloading a roof tent in the near future... I know a roof rack it might want to be aquainted with again... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

We may well come to a mutual agreement.
I knew I shouldn't have sold you that rack!

Picked it up yesterday and drove back to Germany.
The weather was terrible and we didn't see tarmac due to snow. Just dialed in grass, gravel and snow and stuck to about 50mph, although I did feel a bit selfish steaming past peple struggling to get up the hills.
I'll get some photos up later today if possible.
