| Driver's door chime....can this be disabled? |

Thanks to the posts here, I was able to disable my seatbelt chime. Does anyone know of a way to do the same to the repeating "bong" chime that blesses us when the driver's door is open and the car is running?
It may be feature unique to the states but it's annoying just the same.
I cannot seem to understand why some mfg's include this feature. Even in a semi-conscious state, I am aware that my driver's door is open prior to driving off. 2011 LR4 HSE LUX (Black/black)

I think my D3 bongs when you leave the keys in but not got the engine running

Mine only bongs if the key is in the ignition.

LR4 does not have mechanical ignition so it's on ONLY when car is running. Sending the tone when one opens the door having left the keys in the car without it running MAY make more sense.
Maybe it's trying to force me to let the kids figure out on their own how to reconfigure the rear seats when getting soccer car pool in and out of third row. 2011 LR4 HSE LUX (Black/black)
