| Maybe Cold start Maybe battery? |

Last week my disco was parked up at work for two days in the yard but under cover,went to start it cranked over abit then stopped dead, dash lights flickered and HDC Fault system not working came on, tried again but signs of flat battery, jumped it no problem, this happened twice again over the course of the week, i put it down to being cold (no ice/frost on it as undercover)
Now the strange part fired her up friday night not a problem (still at work and under cover) Saturday finished after night shift 0700hrs fired her up not a problem left her ticking over for 10-15 mins moved her so someone could get in the space, turned her off to go back inside, came out 2 mins later tried to start, it was the same as earlier in the week and signs of flat battery unable to turn her over, portable power pack on and starts straight away, since then done 280ish miles back home and last ran her sunday morning, went out taday and flat again,
Ideas please

Hi Chris,
If you are doing short runs, the alternator will have insufficient time to recharge the battery.
I suggest that the first thing to do, is put a battery charger on the battery overnight. If this seems to work, give your battery a regular charge.
If it doesn't work, chances are that you need a new battery (and, possibly, alternator).

Try what Peter said but if you are on your original battery - think its time for a change.
Cold weather has a habit of finding faults in older batteries.
