Can't find 55W D2S bulbs. Even Sylvania/Osram is reccomending a 35W???

many HID kits have the same bulb in 35w and 55w form, only the ballast is different. Should work, but some BMW lose the Bi xenon ability (the internal electro/mechanical dip beam fails to work due to more current drawn by ballast away from mechanism). Let me know if it works, thinking of doing this myself. Already have 55w HIDs in main beam, no need to mount spot / driving lights.
There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

It is very strange. Even the local Land Rover dealer only carries 35W replacements. The 2006 manual specifically calls for a 55W D2S. Either the manual is a misprint or nobody has a clue of what is going on. I havn't actually looked at my burnt bulb yet becuase I want to have the replacemnt in hand.

Sylvania?Osram technical line said 35W should be fine??
