FBH activation and plip for D4 GS with no nav.

Yes you have seen it first Mr. Green Available now for the D4 with NO factory navigation Thumbs Up

As many of you know the D4 fitted with navigation can have the FBH Timed Climate activated by me with the added functionality of a LandRover plip to demand heat without a time been set.
This is good if you have the factory navigation but no good for the non navigated cars, untill now Thumbs Up

We can now offer at our workshop the Landrover FBH plip mod including activation for only 335+vat with free fitting of the module and aerial kit.

You will be prodived with 1 genuine landrover plip for the FBH, and the module and aerial needed will be fitted to the car in the rear as per factory.

This will let you fire the FBH will fire up if the outside temp is below 15c and it will run for 30 mins providing the conditions are correct, this will defrost the car on a cold morning and start to defrost the windows also before you even get in the car.

Pete

The module fitted and plip used in the picture below.

Fitted one to D4 on Friday as supplied by Pete, works really well. Excellent range and a response on the remote to tell you the car has received the signal and that it is heating. Thumbs Up

Sorry for asking...
Is the same piece of hardware as the LR007959?
Or, could you please share the part number?
Thank you!

I have had the timed heating enabled on my D4 XS (2012) as it wasn't selected as an option when originally purchased.

I have been told by a LR dealer that to get remote heating, all I need is to buy a remote control and get it coded to the car. I have two questions.

1. How can I confirm the receiver and antenna is actually fitted to my car?
2. Is coding the remote a DIY job? I have a GAP IID BT tool.

Thanks for any info on this.

Look in the boot, right hand side, remove the jack and look to see a small black box with a Farrakhan cable coming out of the bottom and a small 4 or 5 pin black connector for wiring.

If you don't have it, and you have the if tool, then yes you can buy the parts and enable it n Thumbs Up

Thanks for your help Bodsy. It looks like I don't have a receiver fitted. I found two loose connectors as shown in this photo which was taken looking forward and slightly upwards through the hatch where the jack is stowed.

The small connector has 3 wires; 1x purple, 1x red and 1x black. The large connector has 1x brown/green wire and 1x white/purple one.

I am slightly puzzled as the wires to the big connector go through a loose grommet which implies it is intended to feed through a metal panel or bulkhead. Have I identified the wrong connector?

Any idea what the exact wiring arrangement is? I have an unused generic remote control receiver and fob which I never got round to fitting to my old D3 FBH and it would be great it could be used on the D4.
