Hello prob a question that has been asked before but what type of oil is on thr diff? Ep90? or something special?

Yes for front diff, centre Transfer box requires special Transfer box oil and the rear diff doesn't have a guard Bodsys Brake Bible

Silly question, but those oils for the D3 are from 2007 to 2010, are they the same spec for earlier models of D3 ?

Same spec for all d3 except fir the rear diff if it has the electronic locking diff. Bodsys Brake Bible

changed all mine a couple of weeks ago in Gearbox and Tfer box. took about 2 hours and 40 mins of that was removeing the skid plate/sump guard etc
i used an old caravan waste water carrier and a funnel to catch the oil oil worked really well Duncan

Did mine today as well.
Front diff - need to remove the sump guard/undersheild but is easy to drain then. Also I found it easier to remove th near side wheel as its straightforward to fill in then from inside the wheel arch.
Rear Diff - again easy to drain, but to fill as its near to the exhaust you cant fill from the Castrol bottle. I broke out the trusty Machine Mart syringe to fill it.

what is the weight spec of this Castrol XO? I can't locate Castrol XO in Canada. I have to look for an eq.
Any ideas?

You should be able to get it from your Land Rover dealer.... yeh I know theres a premium but its better to use the genuine stuff IMHO
