Dealer not got a clue but still managing to charge!!!

Ok story is,

Bought an 05 HSE from a LR dealer back in April.
A short while after we got all the bells and whistles up on the dash, special systems off, suspension lowering etc etc and loss of speedo and ABS?
The dealer was good, had it back for a week, said they did the wiring overlay to the rear and replaced a rear speed / ABS sensor and also sorted a few other niggles.

All fine until last week when the same fault popped up, booked into a local dealer for this Wednesday but fault got a lot worse on Saturday so car was dropped off ready to be worked on Tuesday.

They initially said that the first dealer had done the wiring overlay wrong and it was causing resistance? They spoke to the other dealer who agreed to pay for any work required to put it right.

Picked the car up and same fault within 3 miles.

Had it back in and they said they cleaned out a speed / ABS sensor and did another wiring overlay, this time charging over £200

Picked car up this afternoon, did a 20 loop run and yes you guessed it the fault reappeared just as it was coming back past the dealer.javascript:emoticon('Rolling Eyes')

They are now saying they think the ABS module may be at fault so will look again tomorrow, but surely that should have shown up when they first hooked it up to the diagnostics?

Will be hitting them with request for a refund tomorrow as obviously what they charged for was not really the fault, what's your views on that???

Brake light bulbs are ok BTW

It has the LR select warranty which doesnt cover wiring Rolling Eyes

whats a wiring "overlay". Im guessing it is putting a new wiring harness in...without taking the old one out......if thats possible.....?

If I remember correctly early cars had a problem with a badly routed wire breaking down so LR came out with a by pass wiring kit

Been having the same problems with my 07 D3. Did replacing the ABS module sort out the issues? Dealer had mine in yesterday and this is what they diagnosed, having to wait for parts now.
Cheers
