I have D4 june 2010 build.
Started on cold frosty morning, to move car, ran no longer than 2/3 minutes turned engine off, noise from front near side in engine bay, some unit continued to run for a few minutes, then shut down.
What was it?

FBH - Fuel Burning Heater.... more than likely.

Fuel burning heater, it is used to speed up the engine warming up process, no probs as it continues to run for a while after the car has been shut down. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
