Pull out the cup holders in front of the cubby box, underneath you may find a thin plastic splash tray. This needs removing by taking out the 2 screws and the EPB release is under it. In an emergency i suppose you'd just rip the plastic splash tray?

No screws in my tray - it just lifts out with a bit of a tug on 1 end.
Yes, the wire loop. Home of LLAMS, for LRs and Jeep GCs
