Hi, mines just started doing this rather intermittently @ 28K miles. Never used the brakes in anger and usually quite gentle on pressure. Experimented with slightly harder pedal pressure which seems to help, but then wobble returns on gentle braking !! anyone have the TSB number for this ??
Cheers

Well, it's happened AGAIN!!!
I had the front discs, calipers & pads replaced mid June at around 6k miles [& under 3 months old].
Last week and only over 2k miles since done, I've got the vibration [only under braking] back ...
... not at all happy
Last time the service manager said that all of the problems he's incurred all involved alternative wheel/tyre sets.
He wasn't blaming that, it was just his observation.
But just wondering if [and how] that could be a contributing factor.
I'll be calling my service manager on Monday to discuss what's going to happen next. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Booked in to personally see him today DC.
Done some investigating and it is a known fault.
Looks like this time they'll have to be replacing the full steering rack/column/wheel, as well as brakes.
[confriming whats been said earlier on this thread]
Will keep this thread posted. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Should be picking my D4 up from dealer tomorrow, will ask them what the number is.
Mine is having all these replaced:
Front brake discs, calipers & pads ... again.
Steering rack & column.
Steering wheel.
Lower hydra bushes.
Plus road wheels balance check & lateral check ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Well !!!!!!
Got my D4 back on Friday...... and IT'S NOT SORTED !!!!!
When I asked service desk to take me through the fixes, it became apparent that they only fitted another new set of front brake discs, calipers and pads ... same as before.
They DID NOT replace the steering rack, column, wheel and lower hydra bushes as the TSB dictates.
Transpires that although my vehicle is experiencing all the faults of the TSB, my VIN number is not included in that TSB!
So, there you go, got the same problem as LR have identified, but because I'm not in the VIN number range, all they're doing is chucking new brake parts at it!!
Hardly a solution to the problem.
So for a 4 month old vehicle with 8k miles, I'm now on my THIRD set of front brake discs, calipers & pads!
So by current standards, no doubt another visit to my dealer in the next 4 week or so. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Similar story with mine
Took it in yesterday because of the problem of shaking through the wheel under braking. This had developed over the last few months and I also had shaking through the wheel under normal driving as if there was a tyre not balanced properly. The car has done nearly 17000 miles now.
The TSB apparently says they've got to change the steering rack, steering wheel and bushes first before doing brakes so it's going in for two days for that next week.
