D4 style front grill for the D3?
Hi All,
Has anyone replaced their D3 grill with a D4 style one yet? If so, where from? How much? And where are the pics?
I see one of our site sponsors do one for £405 delivered and sprayed which looks good but something isnt quite right with it IMO.
Regards, Jon.

d3-d4 grill
hi jon
i recently did mine,i got the d4 inner grille from "slimer"for £80 all in inc delivery ,i used my existing grille as i did not want to have to spray it after, there are a couple of excellent threads showing b4 and after and all the cuts you need to make, the total time it took was a weekend, but i worked slowly so as not to mess up,i dont know about the others but after cutting everything out and sanding edges smooth, the new one would not go in it was 1/2"too wide,so i ended up dremmelling down the sides i took a 1/4"out where the bevelled edge is and have fitted it so the grille sits about 1/2"proud,as you can see from my gallery it looks good(well i thinks so)at the back i used a fine alloy mesh and bonded it to various bits to hold it all in,the only slight problem are the 2 lower clips which need a bit more support,i shall do this when the weather gets better, but for now i gently push them in with a large bladed screwdriver.
hope this helps
cheers

Both look very good, but I see you have the "new" part of the grill slightly proud of the existing grill Sandy and SGH you have it flush. Was this personal preference or ease of fit?!
