Gearbox trouble - help please D3 -
Good morning all!
Just a quick question to see if anyone can help me with another issue I have with my D3.
In outline - driving along no problems
D3 suddenly makes a slight jolting motion and a small 'pinging' noise is heard
Gearbox stuck in 5 and 6 gear - and as a result the engine cannot be started without the clutch depressed - as soon as clutch is released - then engine stalls
Now in French garage.
They will start work on it on Monday - they emptied the gearbox oil - it had not run dry.
Any ideas?

Possibly a bent selector fork Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
