120pc socket set for £89.99 in Halfords. Looks like good value to me, any thoughts? Will go and have a look but not sure what to look for, I guess weight is a tell tail sign of build quality but for light use does this look OK? Life time guarantee sounds good!!!

it's from their 'Professional' range so it should be fine, I have a couple of smaller sets that I have used for the last ten or so years and they have been very good, looks like a good deal to me  and theeeeennn......???

I've had that very one for about 14 years - didn't know they still made it! I've not broken anything yet. There is even sufficient room in the case between items to add lots of things that you want that aren't included. Only word of warning is - Don't Drop It! It takes ages to put everything back in the correct place. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. Suprisingly, the pro advanced sets from there are prety good. I've got one of tehir original lifetime guarantee socket sets that I've had for about 18 years and had the ratchet replaced twice, but the sockets just keep on going and the ratchet takes some real abuse!
I've since boiught their small and large torque bars as well as the smaller 1/4" & 3/8" socket set.
Can't go wrong, althoiugh if you'd have gone there last weekend, you'd have saved another 15% off tools  Bodsys Brake Bible

If anyone is thinking of doing this mod the only thing I can add of value is that you need to have Torx bits in size T27 and T30 and an 8mm socket. Its best to have a 1/4 or 3/8 drive socket and extension bar as 1/2 inch sockets are too large and catch other parts. the nuts are only 8mm so nothing beefy is needed anyway.
But it does have small extensions & adapters & stuff to make it easier once you've got the Torx bits Bodsys Brake Bible

I bought the larger one last year. Quite impressed, though I have noticed some rust spots after I got it wet in a downpour- little dissapointed with that.

i just spray mine with some WD40 after I've been using them in the wet Bodsys Brake Bible
