anyone point out where the rear drain holes are? - I'm guessing the same 'rodding' technique would work there? (or is it a headlining out job?)

Just been out and got 2.5 mt net cable, open sunroof... No holes!!! There are slots aprox 1cm long with what seams to be blanking plate under it? I have only tried the O/S as I cant get to the N/S at the moment. Its not leaking I was just pre-empting any problems. Very confused, has there been a mod do you think???

It's strange that no one mentions the rear sunroof drain tubes!

I posted a request on this yonks ago and got very little response. On the RHS (drivers) side, which was my problem, the drain starts right at the very back corner of the sunroof and turns the corner immediately behind the passenger door. If you pull the airbag access panel off, you can see the black pipe. The LHS is similar at the top but I haven't checked the outlet.

It then runs vertically to a point between the lower seat belt mounting and the screw that holds the side panel on. The pipe connects to a grommet / vent which releases the water between the metal wheel arch and the plastic liner.

My problem was caused by the grommet being installed on the p**s and twisted amongst the cabling that also runs in there. The pipe filled up, the sunroof channel filled up and then the water found its own way out via the airbag access panel - and then usually dripped straight onto my daughter (there's always a silver lining...).

Once I had found my way round, it took less than 10 minutes to fully sort it. It takes longer to find the right size Torx for the seatbelt bolt. Net curtain flex was also used to rod it as it's the perfect size and is risk free.

harrim51 - it's there.

Your net curtain pole will disappear if you thread it backwards along the outer channel. If you have any standing water in the channel then it can't get out as the channel clears very readily when fully functional.

When testing for effectiveness, don't fill the water with too much water as the channel is not designed for a deluge. Even after a downpour, there is only a very small amount of water in the channel

Here's a pic of the rear drain tubes to give you an idea of positioning etc

On mine I noticed that the rear drain tubes went up towards the roof before the back door, which was a bed design as water normally travels down hill.

And as hensoni mentioned the rear grommet by the rear wheel arch, mine was also on the Censored and let no water out at all.

Here is close up pic of the front drain slot from underneath, the blanking bit you can see is the bottom of the plastic sunroof tube, the slot is just the top part of the tube cut away so the water drains into the bottom part of the tube and then down the pipe.
