Running in
When I collected my new D3 TDV6 the dealer told me that I should drive the car from day one the way I would normally..... I doubted this as I would have taken it pretty gently until about 750/1000 miles, but he was pretty insistent.
Then when I referred to the manual it clearly states that you should run the car at below 70 mph and keep rpms low for the first 500 miles.
What would everyone else suggest?
Guess I will take it carefully.

Just followed the recommendations from LR in the manual... I guess that modern engines probably don't need much running in these days, but taking it easy will allow everything to bed in properly.
Mines now at 45K miles and runs damn well... so I guess taking it as per the book did no harm

Funny enough, I just searched (or tried to anyway) for the same advice.
Is the manual correct (Doh!) and will it make a difference to fuel consumption in the long turn?
