Disco 3 Turbo unit
Just had one of our Disco response cars in at Guy Salmon as the Turbo needs replacing just 2 months old with 8500 on clock
Apparently its only the 2nd one they have had to replace
Other than that shes doing well other than a couple of electrical niggles

My Car had a new Turbo fitted with 26 miles on the clock, Guy Salmon in Kingston said they had changed loads and was a fairly common problem.2006 TDV6 SE

Turbo
Ocassional increasing loss of power. It didnt pack up all togther but Landi technician that came out said it would finally pack up altogether if not changed.
Its a 5.5 hr job according to dealer but they wanted it two days?
5.5hours is actual work time. You have to add to that tea breaks, smoke breaks, discussing last nights TV shows, whos' doing who etcHave a nice day!

hmmm sounds familiar.... been having problems where intermittently pulling away car behaves like no power... release and reapply throttle and it picks up again.... dealer keep going to LR about software...wonder if ive have this problem all along.........also wonder if its contributing to bad fuel economy?

The 'stumbling' you refer to is probably what many have noticed - especially on the manual D3's.
It is fixed by the latest engine mapping software (released many months ago) and is uploaded as part of the enhancement program.
If you still have issue post the enhancement you may well have other hardware issues.

I was one of the first to have the 'update' and did post my symptoms after the upgrade a while back ... hence as Im still having a problem this sounds interesting as an option to 'discuss' with my dealer.2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver
