filled back up this morning with 412 miles from last fill up - 73ltrs (so 16.08 gallons) at 83 quid = 25.6 actual mpg, trip comp showing 28.6. Was mainly 75/80ish mph motorway "cruising", with about 50miles of town driving (stop/start stuff).

Actual was 34 or so after good bit around town. No cheating with above pic, like resetting trip at top of long hill.
You might have got 40MPG if you lost the weight of all that dust

Huddersfield to Bury St Edmunds, just short of 200 miles. 2 adults and 2 kids. Full boot. 38 mpg. This was the trip read out but previous tests have shown my trip to be slightly pessimistic.
Manual, using cruise control at around 60 to 65mph. Think we had a following wind as the return journey brought it down to 34mpg.

I get about 400-450miles to the tank locally, and thats stop start, small journeys
On a long motorway trip I can easily get 500+
Mines a manual tranmission and with the cruise control set at 75mph in 6th gear, it cruises well 8)
My (limited) experience so far over the first couple of tanks - I have managed about 460-480 miles before the dreaded yellow light. Fillup about £95. Real Average about 27, trip computer says 30. It's an automatic.____

Earlier this year I drove my 50th Anniversary Defender 4 litre V8 Auto from Newbury to Bala. I calculated the fuel consumption at 40 PPM (Pence per minute).
I no longer own the vehicle and have now converted to D3.
Filled up from empty drove from Leeds to London A1-M11-A12 then sat in traffic for last 5 miles last friday in the rain, Drove back yesterday after doing 6mile in 2hours (London traffic plus extra cars due to tube strike) but once got on the A1 no problems, stopped off Doncaster Landrover then Normanton down M62 before going home, Total 442 miles and still said Range 59 mile,
Next time gonna try it in manual mode and get it in 6th gear quicker
