Remote Park Heater - should it "vent"
If I press my remote park heater button, it is supposed to flash green every couple of seconds.
It doesnt
is that because the ambient temp is too high ?. I thought it would "vent" if over 15c and heat if 15c or below.
have i misunderstood how it should work ?Duncan

Mine initially flashed red on the remote when pressing the on button and didn't seem to function. With the engine running i pressed and held the off button until i got a red light on the remote. On pressing the On button now i get a green light and then it flashes green every couple of seconds. Car now heats under 15c and vents over 15c.
If you go into the Timed Climate menu on the screen, do you have two buttons Manual Vent and Manual Heat? Mine are greyed out and cannot be pressed?

the Vent and heat buttons on mine are only greyed out if the engine is running. if I just switch on the ignition they work OK
i'll try pressing the off button and see if that resets things.Duncan

at 15c and above it should start to "vent" if i have read the manual correctlyDuncan

@ 15c or above it should vent, mine does as the webasto doesn't fire up at these temps. My buttons are greyed out all the time with ignition on and engine off or on. Looks like a trip to the dealers or an update of the software with my Faultmate.

just rechecked.
switch the ignition "off" and then press the "on" button - ie radio volume. The buttons should then be accessible.
If i press the remote though the system does not vent. will have to wait untill the temp drops to test the heater.Duncan

My screen is now fixed All buttons are working
On pressing manual vent it blows air in direct from outside the car from the main dash vents. Pressing Manual Heat seems to recirculate the air and blow at the feet.
Webasto didn't fire on this occasion, it does in a morning on timed climate when the temp is lower.
Have you had the fob learned to the car? Think you need to remove the fuse and reinsert, then press the On button on all remotes
