2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3
Please help me choose the right ones

Hi guys, really need to some help, I’m sorry to ask this question again but I have been looking for so long and decided on a brand only to find out we can’t get them in the uk. I’ve been looking for weeks now and need new tyres before I have a 4 wheel alignment done.

I’m looking for a set of tyres for my discovery 3. I currently have Goodyear wranglers on it 235/70r17. I have read tons of info and duratracs seem to be what everyone recommends but I’ve found out, they are hard to come by on the uk in all sizes but the 17inch version is like hens teeth. I do need something with a bit of grip, I do a bit of Green laning every week in the winter as I’m a shooting man but I also have a 18 foot boat I tow and launch on sand and algae coated launch ramps. Can you please recommend something that will do the job for me, available for 17inch wheels and something that has great wear resistance

Thank you in advance

Not much help but I can tell you both the Pirelli Zeros and Pirelli ATR seem to go off pretty quick, the Zeros wear at an alarming rate, the ATRs seem better so far.

From new they will grip like the proverbial on fast bends etc, but its not long before oversteer kicks in.

So I would avoid both.

Very few people run 17"s. (You can upgrade to V8 brake discs and carriers and fit 18"s).

Here's a possibility in the size you run now:
