Tailgate issue

Censored Censored

Hoping for some assistance..
Trouble opening rear tailgate..

Have changed handle, actuator and all was working fine until yesterday..

New latch ordered and attempted to fit this afternoon.
Carpet stripped back from inside, all going well... then disaster, Censored my cable has become detached at the latch end!

How do I now get the tailgate open Censored
