Would Warranty Direct Cover a Failing Ignition Key
One of the key fobs for my 05 car is not working properly. It will turn the engine on OK but won't lock/unlock the doors. Dealer says it is a non replaceable battery and I will need a new key fob as it must be faulty. Firstly is that true?
Secondly I am asking here rather than looking through the small print of the policy, would this be covered under my Warranty Direct warranty? I think I have the extra care cover. Anyone else claimed OK for a key?
Failing that it over to ebay and a look for second hand and then getting it re programmed.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

From my understanding, the battery is replaceable...cost about £3...just crack open the key fob and renew the battery...however, I believe it is quite fiddly.
On the WD front, I'm not too sure...

If battery is available as a LR part, TLO will be able to help.
