| Economy gain with BAS remap |

Can anyone give me some feedback on their experience with the BAS remap.
I am looking at what might help payback the £500 investment. I don't tow or off road a great deal. I do however shift a lot of gear around and undertaken trips to France on a frequent basis which clocks up 900 miles each way mostly motorway...
I was hoping to get a fuel saving on longer trips or on the day to day running about and hoped to help justify the product accordingly.
I would appreciate some user experiences  .

Ask Pete to send you 2 tunes. I had a miser tune for MPG and a grin tune. Can swop between them anytime.

That was the idea, but I want an idea of what kind of saving the 'miser tune' would give v's the standard set up. I average 28 - 30 mpg around the high peak in Derbyshire and a little over 31 mpg on a decent motorway run.
I know there are lots of factors that will affect it, that is why I am looking for user experiences.

I have only the "grin" tune and get 28 to 30 on very short journeys around town, with 34-36 on long runs. All is quiet and normal below 1500rpm.
However, it is not just the tune that matters, its the way you use it. The power comes in above 1500rpm. If I need to, I can move quickly to exploit a space, or away from lights, etc. The performance is used for a few seconds, but that can save sitting idling for 3 to 4 minutes waiting for the next phase. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

I am getting mine done soon.
So have been monotiring my fuel usage. I always fill up with BP Ultimate & get on average 535 miles out of a full tank.
So working on it being a 80 litre (17.62 gallon) tank, that is an actual retun of 30.36mpg, computer says 32.8mpg. Thats if my math is correct.
My journey to work is 52 miles, 18 on the A5 & the rest motorway (sat with cruise control on at 65mph), aart from 2.5 miles on a b road to the office after motorway.
Am undecided between the BAS or Superchips. Have had all my other cars superchipped, but Pete's (BAS) sounds really good, as you can have different settings.
Antbody ever compaired the two?

never i repeat never go for any chip as it is crap solution which impact only a few things on the car and proper map can be adjusted to the customers need and readjusted if needed
BAS
TorquTune
and others are highly recommended
I might not get extra MPGs but when booting the car I can "put the smoke screen up" and leave all others behind suffocating lol

Superchips is not a chip, the name is historic from the days, along time ago, about 13 years, when it used to be a chip you plugged into the ECU and left there.
Now adays it is a device you plug in and upload/download the required map as & when required.

Wish I got the kind of MPG mentioned here!!!!!
Around town I am lucky to get 20-21 MPG and on a run can get close to 25-26!!!!!!!!!

If you want MPG, get a Prius, otherwise live with it........Some would love 30mpg.
Nearly 3 tonne, and aerodynamics of a Brick, and he wants economy  , drive to enjoy, not to the damn fuel needle

I am BAS tuned, and love it. If you drive sensibly you will gain 2-3 mpg, but it has the bite to empty your tank at low 20's..............................
