Pop rivets from the back will do it. The aluminium trim is hollow so a rivet from the internal face of the step frame won't be visible externally.Only takes a few mins to repair.

Don't suppose the trim is available on it's own? Mine's a bit scraped. But I suppose that would be too much to expect from LR?

Just thought I'd ask, but does any one have any old trims, specifically the drivers side so I can avoid spending a fortune on a totally unecessary side steps!

Common problem, the rivits are alloy and corode - especially in the winter with road salt etc.
Either replace with Alloy rivits knowing you'll be doing it again in a year or two, or use stainless steel ones . . . they will last a lot longer Never get mad - get even !!

Its actually very easy to re-attach the trims - even I managed to do it which says a lot.
I got a cheap rivet gun from Halfords and with the use of two G clamps and some small pieces of wood to avoid damaging the alloy whilst I used the clamps to hold the alloy to the step I was able to reattach the trim without too much trouble.
