Discovery 3 vs. Smart car
Visiting a cafe in a very congested part of town today, with 7 members of family in the car. Amazingly, we spotted an empty space on the main road, and so rolled up to park. Edinburgh council are extremely strict about wheels over lines etc. etc. and so we had to edge forward as far as we could, but it looked as though the Discovery was too big, unless of course the woman who was about to get out the Smart Car in front moved forward for us. We asked if there was any room to move forward, but she just looked at our car and walked off. Needless to say we just edged the car right up on to her back bumper and left.
Smart cars.....
So here you are, the smallest car vs. one of the biggest:

Didn't know there was a Goodfellow & Steven in Edinburgh - as an ex Dundonian I appreciate such things! Where is it?

That's on Raeburn Place in Stockbridge. Nice part of town, lots of nice shops and cafes.

Should've picked it up and dropped it in the nearest wheelie bin plus you'd be doing you bit for the environment by keeping the streets free of cr@p
a small trolley jack is handy for such situations, I once jacked up the rear of a mini and turned it 180 degrees in it's parking space 'cos the driver peed me off - thing was, it was a one way street and he got all kinds of shiite from plod for parking the wrong way round

Talking of the environment... ( ) ... as we parked up in Stockbridge today, there was a pair of "Environmental Officers" patrolling the street .Seemed to be a complete waste of time. They just wandered back and forwards along the road, giving anyone with a car daggers..2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Our van got blocked in a hotel car park by a snotty cow in Winchester. She could see we were leaving she smirked and walked away from her Porch Boxter, Mistake we dragged her out on to the side road and drove off.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
