Accurate fuel comsumption, pre & post installing BAS Box |
|
I have a MY 09 D3 for which I have kept accurate fuel consumption records in a spreadsheet.
I (almost) always refuel with Shell diesel at the same pump at a local Shell filling station "brimming" the tank each time.
Ignoring the first 4,500 miles when I consider the car to have been "running in" I have achieved the following fuel comsumption figures:-
Overall 10.3k miles 24.4 mpg
Post fitting BAS BOX 1.6k miles 24.8 mpg
I have always used the cars full performance performance and drive at least 50% of the time on A & B roads rather than Motorways. No towing, little off road use.
My conclusion is that Pet & Bell Auto Services have added performance, and marginally improved fuel consumption - thanks Pete.
Nigel Am I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

Past LRs - Multiple FFRs, Discos & a Series I - some petrol, some diesel,
none Electric or H2 fuel cell - yet.
