What to check when buying secondhand Discovery

I found the following list which was intended for new vehicle collection. Any additions ?

Tailgate struts
Reversing full lock noise
Lazy entry
Paintwork
Alignment of stick on bits/fitment of dealer fit accessories
Towbar, storage and fitting it
Number plates correct back & front
Correct spec
PTI/ Phone pairing
Tight spare wheel
Bonnet lid catch
Cds going in & out – take 6 with us take one MP3 CD
Air suspension heights
Wheel locking key present
Voice control
Both keys
VIN number matches paperwork
Subwoofer present and working

Looks good. Also, check the top of the dash for any cracks.

Check that the fuel flap locks and that the suspension height switch works in both directions.

ok....

Make sure it has a FSH, on a D3 its every 15k or 12months.....

Make sure it has no roof damage, get alot of these from car parks

Make sure NO messages on dash

Make sure you go from Normal height to access to off road height (not too much or compressor will overheat)

Make sure you operate the EPB serveral times

Make sure you check for water stains around sunroof

Make sure you check tyre wear and depth

I am sure others will help out on the check list, gone blank now.

PTI was an option so may not be fitted, check for buttons on the steering wheel

Tow Bar / Storage / Electrics was a option, look in Passenger rear cubby box

Are they prone to these ? Whereabouts on the dash and why do they get them ? Expensive fix presumably ?

I wouldn't say it's a common issue, but some do. Caused by not maintaining the dash properly...
