I have recently joined an interesting charity, they are called the Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response. Its an organisation that works with all of the emergency services to provide logistics using 4x4 vehicles in times of severe weather and major emergencies. As I have one of the most capable 4x4's ever made, and I love to work as a team in challenging conditions, this seemed like a perfect way to be useful and enjoy using my D3.
The reason I am posting this is to let some potentially like minded D3 drivers know about the GW4x4R. We are looking for more volunteers who are willing to get involved and who would like to join a friendly group of lads and lasses. We have members from a wide geographical area, stretching from Wales, down to Wiltshire and up as far me, just south of Birmingham; so if you feel this may be interesting, feel free to contact me, or go to their website http://www.gw4x4r.co.uk/ and have a look for yourself. There is a national network of similar organisations, if you are interested and not in the area covered by the GW4x4R, then look them up in your own area.
