Servicing in North Wales

My Discovery is now due it's 45k service which the local stealer would like to relieve me of £540 for the privelage. I'm told it's a major service. Having had a few unpleasant experiences with them over the last 12 months or so, I would prefer not to give them any more of my very hard earned cash and I have no problems in using a good independent - anyone know of any ? Thanks.

How much?

This is an 'A' service (the same as your very first service), but includes a new air filter as well. I've just had mine done on Thursday (mine was the 72,000km service which is the same as the one you need doing).

I was quoted 450 euros from one dealer and eventually got it done at an official LR workshop (no sales department - just a workshop) for 290 euros including VAT. This was done on Thursday.

540 quid is far too expensive Thumbs Up

It IS NOT a major service - no belts or other service liquids are changed/replaced other than the oil. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I assume your local is Conwy Landrover , or whatever they may be called now.
I have used them in the past. If you are prepared to travel to stockport you will probably save a couple of hundred, be better looked after and return to a clean car inside and out. Certainly far better than conwy gave in the past.
Why don't you give Gut SAlmon a call on 0161 474 7799 and see what they can do?
We went to the Traffors centre and they had the car ready qickly and called us so that we could be away before any rush.
