Do we wave?

Having spent the best part of a decade in a Defender and waving to other Defender and Series Land Rovers. As D3 owners do we not wave to eachother? If not, why not? It was nice doing it in the winter as it kept my fingers and hvands mocing in the freezing cold due to the pants heater!

Shall I start and see how many people think I'm crazy? Laughing

cheers

Hi Zarnd i went to mablethorpe t'other weekend and on the way we wave at every single landy, rangie etc, out of 24 vehicles we waved at only 3 waved back, 1 defender, 1 300tdi disco and 1 freelander, Every d3 and rangie owner sat there po faced. The only ones i do not wave at are the ones driven by women,.

I only wave if I see a sticker nowadays... too many around here now with D3's and you get funny looks from some people. Once when I was behind a D3 with both brake lights out I waved, tooted, practically stood on my head to attract atttention from the driver when I pulled along side at the traffic lights but I think they had tunnel vision!!

Even in the 200tdi Disco not many waved back. Usually those that wave back are in modified vehicles Sad Had no waves in the D3 so I haven't bothered. I've only seen one disco3.co.uk stickered motor on the road driven by disco_steve and he was in the distance on the motorway so I couldn't wave Big Cry

Never mind zarnd our time for waving will come Thumbs Up

With the D4 being a rare sight - I think I've only passed five or six in the last three monts - I've waved at every one. The wife though I was a bit soft in doing it and none of the other drivers waved back!

I drove XTC's D3 last weekend and lots of people waved. He has lights, rack, RAI etc. etc. etc. etc. so I think people see that and wave.

We don't wave, but we do spot for Land Rovers when we're out. Although I find myself doing it when I'm on my own as well. Adults get 1 point for each spot and the kids get 2. The kids normally win!
