Sinking feeling

Hi,

D3 is driving me nuts, petrol and matches looking attractive. I was going to sell my 110, but now keeping it as I need a spare car with amount of time the D3 spends in the garage. Big Cry

After every run about 20 seconds after stopping and getting out the vehicle sinks and there is a noise like air coming out of a balloon. I haven't had any faults come up on the dash etc.

Is this compressor failure, or a special LR feature - 'they all do that on the first Sunday of each month in a leap year....'?

Thanks,

Paul

They can adjust the suspension after shutting down but it is only a small levelling, If sinking to access height or further you have an issue, as a non techie I'd only be guessing.

Know what U mean re not selling your 110, I run a Jazz for the times when the D3s are on their unscheduled hoildays to the stealer! Rolling Eyes

Mine does this when left in normal suspension height. Just makes a slight hissing noise and seems to adjust itself. I think they do drop over a period of time as well, so I'm not unduly worried

cheers

Does it sink to the bump stops or to an uneven level? If so, probably a fault! If not, and it just levels, it's normal. I'm pretty heavy so it does it regularly Smile

I have noticed my D3 sinks to the access height after a day or two of not using it.

Is that normal?

it just levels out. Didn't think I was that heavy Shocked at 13st and the gremlins in the back have a combined weight of 6st.

I shan't worry then. Its at Shukers on Friday to have the tailgate switch replaced so I'll get them to check it out.

The 110 has just gone off to be MOTd and have a replacement transfer box fitted, the difflock fixed....etc....etc.... I can't wait to see it back, preferably before the invoice arrives.
