Tyre inflator
Not sure if it's in the right section but any recommendations for a decent tyre inflator.
I have the round Michelin one at the moment and it's too slow

I know what you mean about the round Michelin pump as it is very slow with a big tyre. I've been waiting years for it to give up the ghost but in this case its reliability is working against me!Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I have a T-Max not sure which model but it's fast, came with croc clips as its too powerfull for the cig lighter.

It is leaking as well so for every 2 pound that goes in it loses one. Checked halfords website and they have an updated Michelin one at 45 pounds. That's an awful lot of 20 pences.

Great bit of kit and inflates quite swiftly, it may be a lot of 20p's but the hose on the local filling station one is a bit short when you're halfway up a Lake District fell Cheers Ian

Thanks Ian looks a good piece of kit. Only joking about 20 pences. Always like to be prepared, will look at these. Just don't want to buy one for 45 pounds and it's pants like I did do with the Michelin.

I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to fit a permanent air take off from the EAS system. Seems silly carting a plug in compressor about when there is one fitted the the Discovery anyway. Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
D3 TDV6. Gone.
Might work with an AMK but I'd rather not try to give the Hitachi anything more to cope with!
I had wondered whether LR should offer a self inflating tyre system than can adjust and monitor tyre pressures for off-roading etc. Would probably end up quite expensive though.
I use my pair of 2.5hp compressors (or one of them) for my tyres but they're not very portable!Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

for the T-max as well. Works superb, I got it to easily inflate our tent. Used to take 10 min with a hand pump. Now less then a minute and no sweat.
And it has pumped all kind of kids inflatables during vacation.
Main criteria was that it had high air flow, was able to run for a long time if needed (4 tires without cooling down) and price.

Ring all the way great product .
Even with 3tonn on trailer blows flat tyres up with ease , not cheap but well worth the cost
++ for the Ring - mine has been excellent, and does the job with ease.
