Too much weight?
Off on a C2C with the lads later this week.Travelling from Hitchin to Whitehaven (back from Tynemouth).6 x 14-15 stone blokes.six full suss bikes.4 on the back on a maxxraxx.Roofbox holding 6 x 15 kg bags and 2 thule bike holders on roof bars.Am i pushing it weight wise etc for my 2007 Disco 3 TDV6 GS?

I make that 685kgs, limit is 750 ISTR so getting there. Leave 65kgs for beer!
EDIT Didn't see the bikes, I make that 750kgs so on the limit. No beer!!!

That was in the 15kgs each!! They'll only need one set of cloths, if a long stay they may be ripe but they'll be dry.

Thanks DSL.Fatty will catch the train now.Just noticed front tyres a bit close to being replaced so off to do that tomorrow a.m.Goodyear 235/70 R17's alright are they as that is what i have at the moment? (yes i don't much about all this I'm new to D3's but boy do we LOVE them in the vee houshold,horses and all that)

Don't forget rear tyres up to 42 psi. 750kgs payload is from memory, worth you checking the handbook & adding up the weights. Even if at the max the D3 makes light work of it but obviously handling will be like an oil tanker. Just make sure you have capacity for the beer!!

tyre pressures adjusted,i'm a mechanic now
1500 miles of tread left on front tyres + fatboy up front should be ok.I might even give the Camskill boys a shout while the Disco rests in Whitehaven
