Should rear PDC be disabled when trailer plugged in?

ISTR it was on the D3, doesn't seem to be on the D4... Am I making it up, is this a change, or has the dealer just not enabled the right bits when fitting the tow bar?

Cheers

Martin

Correct.

Would be strange that it isn't disabled on the D4.

Didn't think I was making it up Wink It's going in next week for the "software assurance" upgrades so I'll add it to the list...

Cheers

I have a towbar & electrics and the rear sensors are definitely disabled when in use.

I have towbar and electrics fitted by dealer before delivery and rear PDC is not disabled when trailer lights are plugged in. (Trailer blinker light on dash does work though).

I have the same problem with RPS still working with electrics in use. Going in to dealers on Wed. I also think that the trailer stability system may not work as this feature is switched on when electrics are in use. I will mention this to dealer and report back.

My rear parking sensors went mad when i had a trailer attached, after investigation by my self brought on by another member with the same problem i worked out that the function was not enabled correclty at the dealers Sad

Now all is ok after correcting it Smile

Can you check that on mine Pete? I haven't hooked the trailer up yet, so don't know if it's been done properly! Cheers Very Happy

Hi Sazza

I can tell yours "seems" to be correct or should be after a sync done Very Happy of course considering some of the weird unknowns caused by landrover and their updates anthing is possibile or not as we both know lol.
If you get time connect a trailer and give them a test by walking round it while in reverse, only the front should work if all is ok.

If they dont work ill sort it for you no problem, its a car power supply needing update so we may have to work something out re a visit possibily

Pete
