I can see the map down to street level and pick out my house quite easily. some of the UK members maps dont show much detail either. I find it sometimes is slow or doesnt load at all sometimes and sometimes it just hangs and have to shut down the page oterwise brilliant.

just checked out Esperance and you can see down to street level also. Jamo it appears you have not set up your location yet as you are not on the map

I tried, and am on the members map, but can't get it to work with my location on my posts. Have a nice day!

Jamo just tried your link and it shows you live on Fullerton st. your link is only visible to other members not yourself. click on mine and zoom in, it should also show a red line from your location to mine. if you want to view your own map, click on the members map link at the top of the page. hope this helps

Would people like the ability to have the link to themselves re-instated? I took it out in last night's update as it seemed a bit pointless to find the distance to yourself!
PS: Catweasel, your avatar is utterly bizarre!

I just click on the members map link and zoom in so dont really care but it would be nice if you could centre someones location when zooming in so they dont leave the page so you could zoom in quicker (if that makes sense)

How do I find the distance to another member. I know you have to click on the other members location but all I get is a red line from me to them - no distance! Loving the power of the TDV8!

Right chaps, try that. The popup balloons for each icon now have a link at the bottom to centre the map on that member
Then zoom away to your heart's content
You can even centre on yourself if you've forgotten where you live
