Im sure I have many more questions to come but what is the USB port for?!
also
If i have the smart key on me, is it supposed to unlock when I walk up to the car or do i still have to press the button on the key fob? I am using button at the mo but sure I was told it unlocks automatically?!

USB port is for memeory stick with music, load via a computer and plug into the car, stores loads of track and no stack of CD's in the car 
i assume you have the keyless entry. If so walk up to the car and gently pull the handle, car will unlock, as you leave the car touch the small black square on any of the door handles and the doors lock MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
