Oil Leak?
I've noticed a patch of oil recently on the drive so had a look under the car today and there seems to be a small leak
Anyone else seen this? Actually a 2010 RRS but the same engine/mechanics as a D4 and I thought you'd be more knowledgeable here! I'm worried the dealer won't be able to look at it for weeks so is it ok to keep driving?

Looks like a Prop Shaft Oil seal on the Transfer Box is letting go

I'd call LR Assistance and get 'em to take it away and bring me a replacement. Looks to me like that's lost quite a bit of oil if there is that much oil around underneath and quite a big patch on the drive.2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Thanks. The AA have been and its being recovered in the morning. I think he was quite impressed when I told him it was the Prop Shaft Oil seal on the Transfer Box!

Well the car has been at Lancaster Welwyn Garden City now for 10 days and still no sign of it being fixed. Every day I get a different story from waiting for parts to the at least honest we've been too busy to get it into the workshop. Beginning to wish I'd just put up with the slight leak!
