Locking suspension at raised height |
|
Is it possible to lock the suspension in the raised setting to stop it lowering at a potentially expensive time while driving in the desert?

There was me thinking someone would be able to plug a laptop in and fix it. Can't believe Australian and African cars do not have a software mod to raise the lowering speed.

Hardware mods only, I'm afraid.
However, I think that GraemeS is close to finalising a "switch-operated" version.

Unnecessary quote removed
True, but technically not the same as what was asked because you can't go back to regular height unless to recalibrate again. So you are not actually changing the lowering speed.
That said, if you have a faultmate like I and others do. You can recalibrate on the fly so that regular height is higher then normal and then set it back when done.

Get 30mm extra in all settings at the push of a button. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

It was a link to a comment posted there by 4-Tech about electrical trickery to keep the suspension up. Wasnt promotion of the new club in any way shape or form. It was just help for the general community Perhaps we need to know what the official line on this is?
From Gordon at 4-Tech: Quote:We can set your suspension to higher than standard at the start of the day so you can play all day long without it dropping thus giving you increased ground clearance and the reset for you at the end of the day! How cool is that! My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/NeilDisco#p/u/5/Dz4-Q95GQ2c

Works with acuators shortening suspension rods. Returns to factory length when off.
DSC still works when on although LR Aus disaprove syestem is legal here. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Late Friday I was advised that a trial loom would be available by the end of this week but I don't know if that's in the UK or Oz. The development device itself has been installed in my vehicle for 3 months so once the loom is proven, its all stops out. Standard height or +30mm or +50mm at the flick of a switch, or more if its setup to do so.
